Terms of service

Once confirmed, a quote does not change. The catalogue package is quoted after a chat, depending on how many items.

You see the homepage draft first; if you like it, half is paid as a deposit and work begins. The rest is paid after launch. If you cancel after paying the deposit it is not refunded, because the draft and the start have already cost time.

The build period counts from the day we have your photos and text: two weeks for One-page, four to six for Catalogue.

Two rounds of changes are included before launch. Further changes, or new requests after launch, are quoted separately.

We write the words; you supply the photos (we show you how). The site goes live only after you confirm the content; after launch its accuracy is your responsibility.

From HK$280 a month, or from HK$3,000 a year, depending on the size of the site, stated in the quote. It covers hosting, domain renewal, daily backups, and one small change a month of up to fifteen minutes.

Reminders go out at 7 and 21 days overdue; at 30 days the site is paused and comes back once paid.

You can stop any time; there is no contract. When you stop, the site goes offline and you receive a static copy of it plus all your data.

The domain is registered in your account and is yours. The words, photos, product data and enquiries on your site are yours and can be taken at any time.

The site's code, design system and admin system are owned and maintained by Paperstem and licensed to you while the site runs; the licence ends when the service stops, but you keep the static copy.

You warrant that you have the right to use the photos and text you supply; third-party claims arising from them are your responsibility.

The site is hosted on Vercel and its data on Supabase, both global providers. We do our best to keep the site up, but outages at those providers are outside our control.

Daily backups keep content and data; changes you make yourself in the admin or edit mode are not restored by us, though they can be handled as a small change.

The name and contact collected by the enquiry form are used only to answer that enquiry and are not given to third parties.

Enquiries from your own customers live in your admin and belong to you; we touch them only for maintenance.

Paperstem is a sole studio in Hong Kong. Disputes are handled under Hong Kong law.
